Family Sues Church

Tulsa, OK – Clinkscale family sues church over death in ring

(Information in the following story is from: Tulsa World, http://www.tulsaworld.com)

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The family of a former University of Tulsa football player who was killed in an unsanctioned boxing match is suing a church that put on the exhibition.

The Tulsa World reports that the family of George Clinkscale the Third filed damages lawsuit against the Guts Church on Friday in Tulsa County.

Clinkscale died after a boxing match on Sept. 21 that was held at the church's parking lot.

The church didn't immediately respond to email messages on Saturday.

The suit accuses the church of negligence for organizing a boxing match that wasn't licensed.
