Occupy Wall Street comes to Tulsa

By Sarah Rayner

Tulsa, OK – As Occupy Wall Street has become a bigger and bigger movement across the world, some Tulsans are taking part. A tent city has been setup downtown, with protesters camping out to show solidarity with the other movements across the country.
Eli, the communications director for the Tulsa protesters, has been in communication with many groups across the country, including the start of the protests Wall Street. "I've seen corporations continue to grow and grow and the middle class pay stays the same" he said "Wall Street gets all of these exorbitant bonuses and I just don't think it's fair."
While these Tulsans may be showing solidarity in the cold, the movement has also gone viral. Within minutes of Eli posting a video of protesters in Tulsa, it had already been shared in Taipei, by their Occupy movement.
