Ponca City, OK – Gov. attending dedication of plant in Ponca City
PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) Gov. Mary Fallin is in Ponca City for the formal dedication of a Dorada Foods chicken processing plant.
Fallin is joining local officials, Dorada Foods Chairman and CEO Ed Sanchez, Dorada President Jim English, McDonalds USA President Jan Fields and Tyson Foods Chairman John Tyson for the ceremony on Monday.
Dorada Foods is a joint venture between Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson and Oklahoma City-based Lopez Foods Inc. and will supply chicken products to McDonalds.
The plant is expected to eventually employ about 350 people in northern Oklahoma.
