Tulsa, OK – The unemployment rate for the Tulsa Metro inched up in September. Figures released today showed the rate climbed from six-percent to six-point-four percent. But when you look at the raw totals, you see that both employment and unemployment increased.
How can that be?
Oklahoma Employment Security Commission's John Carpenter says it is the long term unemployed getting back in the job market.
Latimer County, in southeastern Oklahoma, had the highest unemployment rate at nearly 10-percent.
