Safe Shopping

By AP

Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Police Department along with assistance from the Tulsa Police Reserves is preparing to implement the Safe Shopper Program. Starting on Black Friday, officers from Riverside Division will patrol the major shopping centers at 41st and Yale, 21st and Yale, and Tulsa Hills.

Officers will focus on patrolling the shopping areas, monitoring parking lots and assisting on-duty officers with larceny calls in the shopping centers. Last year officers working the Safe Shopper Program in the Riverside Division area handled a large number of calls for service in the shopping areas and assisted on many traffic collisions on the nearby streets and parking lots.
