Unemployment Up Again

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – Oklahoma's unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the nation. 43-other states and the District of Columbia are higher than Oklahoma. Despite that fact, our unemployment rate was up in October. Figures released today indicate a rate of six-point-one percent. That is up from five-point-nine percent in September. That translates to just over 105-thousand Oklahomans out of work.

In October of 2010, the Oklahoma rate was six-point-nine percent.

Even with the increase, only the Dakotas, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Vermont, Wyoming and Iowa have lower rates.
