Wagoner, OK – Reward offered in Okla. firing range shooting
WAGONER, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information about a shooting and robbery at a Wagoner County firing range.
Authorities say 73-year-old Kenneth Payne was shot at the Fort Gibson Wildlife Management Area firing range early on Nov. 24, Thanksgiving Day. The assailants also stole four firearms from Payne and his gun buggy.
Among the items stolen was a Mitchell Black Lightning .22-caliber Magnum rifle.
OSBI officials say because this is an odd-looking gun, agents are hoping someone remembers seeing it recently. The rifle's serial number is MBL02072.
