Winter Will Arrive Early

By AP

Oklahoma City, OK – Rain, snow likely in parts of Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahomans are bracing for a weekend of wintry weather.

Forecasters say there is a chance of rain across western Oklahoma Friday night that will shift to the east overnight. Precipitation will be widespread on Saturday as rain ends across the western part of the state.

Colder air will filter into the state on Sunday, bringing a chance of snow, sleet and freezing rain. The best chance of freezing rain will be in south central and southeastern Oklahoma. Lingering snow showers and flurries may also occur across the state late Monday and Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to dip down into the 20s and 30s.
