Tulsa, OK – Tulsa has a new City Council.
The nine members and the City Auditor took the oath of office yesterday afternoon at the TU Lorton Center.
During the ceremony. Mayor Bartlett quoted a reggae song from the 60's to welcome the council to office. (hear it above)
After the 25-minute ceremony Temple Israel Rabbi Charles Sherman offered the benediction.
After the ceremony, the council held an organizational meeting. G-T Bynum was elected the council chair. David Patrick was elected vice chair of the council.
