Tulsa, OK – Former rep's ex-wife pulls out of Okla. House race

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The ex-wife of a former state representative has withdrawn as a candidate for his Tulsa-based House seat.

Janet Sullivan withdrew Friday as a candidate for House District 71 in central Tulsa. The 49-year-old was one of seven Republican candidates seeking the post, which Dan Sullivan left to become the Grand River Dam Authority's chief executive officer. Two Democrats also filed for the seat.

Sullivan says the district "needs one voice" and indicated she intends to support fellow Republican Katie Henke.

Meanwhile, Henke on Friday filed a candidacy challenge to 57-year-old Jacqualyn Moss. Henke claims Moss has not lived in the district for the six months required by state law.

The Oklahoma Election Board will hold a hearing on the candidacy challenge Tuesday morning.

The election is scheduled for February 14th.
