Four Dead/Two Crashes

By AP

Undated – 4 dead in separate double fatals in Oklahoma

UNDATED (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says four people have been killed in separate double-fatality crashes in the state.

The OHP says the first crash killed 28-year-old Maria Jo Praeger and 23-year-old David Robert Lawrence both from Canadian, Texas about 8 p.m. Friday.

Troopers say the car driven by Praeger crossed the centerline of Oklahoma Highway 51 and was hit by an oncoming sport utility vehicle. The SUV driver is hospitalized in stable condition.

Troopers also say 17-year-old Mitchell Woodward of Tulsa and 21-year-old Jeff Daugherty of Tulsa were killed and a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured about 11:45 p.m. Friday on Interstate 244 near Tulsa.

The OHP says the car driven by Daugherty went off the roadway and hit a guardrail then rolled several times.
