Chickasha, OK – Small plane crash in Oklahoma kills 2
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A small plane owned by an Oklahoma construction company crashed near Chickasha and killed two people.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 47-year-old pilot Rocky Beller of Goldsby and 50-year-old passenger Calvin Scott Beller of Purcell were both dead at the scene about 40 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
The OHP says the two were the only ones on board and that the investigation was turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration.
FAA spokesman Roland Herwig said it isn't known where the Piper PA-28 the men were flying took off or was headed.
Tom Dodson with B&H Construction LLC of Norman says the company owned the plane and that Rocky Beller was a co-owner of the company. Dodson says the two men were cousins.
