Tulsa, OK – Mayor Dewey Bartlett and the City Councilors are bringing City Hall to Tulsa's neighborhoods. Beginning Jan. 10, 2012, and continuing through May, the mayor and council will host "City Hall In Your Neighborhood" events in each of Tulsa's nine council districts.

"This will be an opportunity for residents to talk face to face with their City government representatives, working with us to solve problems in their neighborhoods," Mayor Bartlett said. "These forums will also address the comments we heard in our citizen survey earlier this year, requesting more public meetings in the council districts and improved communications from their elected officials."

The mayor added that 75 percent of respondents said they want more public meetings to communicate city initiatives.

"The energy to move Tulsa forward isn't just going to come from inside City Hall," said Council Chair, G.T. Bynum. "We need the ideas and the feedback of our fellow Tulsans and this is a great opportunity for that. As councilors, we are looking forward to joining Mayor Bartlett in our districts and bringing City Hall to the citizens in their neighborhoods."
