McAlester, OK – Police say 2 found shot to death in McAlester home
McALESTER, Okla. (AP) Police in McAlester say a man and a woman have been found shot to death in a home on the city's northwest side.
Television station KOTV in Tulsa reports that Assistant Police Chief Darrell Miller identified the victims as 32-year-old Bonifacio Perez-Contreras and 31-year-old Elizabeth Lacy.
Miller says both appear to have died from gunshot wounds. He says investigators are treating the case as a double homicide, but that some signs point to a murder-suicide.
Police Captain Gary Wansick told reporters the two were found by a family member about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Wansick says the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been asked to assist police in the case.
Officials say the couple's 14-month-old daughter was not home when the couple died.
