Paden, OK – 2 small earthquakes recorded in Okla., no injuries

PADEN, Okla. (AP) The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded two small earthquakes in Oklahoma including a 3.5 magnitude quake near Paden in Okfuskee County.

No injuries or damage are reported from the quakes that were recorded late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The 3.5 magnitude quake was recorded at 2:07 a.m. Saturday about five miles south of Paden and about 55 miles east of Oklahoma City.

The first quake was a 2.1 magnitude temblor centered about two miles southeast of Jones and about 15 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. It was recorded at 9:54 p.m. Friday.

Geologists say quakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans.
