Tulsa, OK – There's another delay in Tulsa Council action before finalizing the city's controversial change to a new garbage collection system. Councilors tell members of the trash board, they want more specific numbers on the monthly fee you will pay under the new once-weekly pickup system.
Councilman Phil Lakin says before action on okaying funding for new trash carts, he wants to be able to tell citizens, as closely as possible, how much they'll pay.
Councilors delayed action on the funding request until the 24th. That's one day after a judge holds a hearing on a suit seeking to halt implementation of a new contract.
