Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury to meet Tuesday
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Attorney General Scott Pruitt says Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury will meet next week.
Pruitt announced Wednesday the panel will reconvene Tuesday and continue its session through Thursday. The subject of the panel's investigation wasn't disclosed.
The panel, which last met in November, meets secretly at the Attorney General's Office and is directed by Assistant Attorney General Charles Rogers, chief of the multicounty grand jury unit.
So far grand jurors have returned 13 indictments involving 14 defendants in cases filed in Cleveland, Harper, Oklahoma and Pittsburg counties.
The panel has jurisdiction to investigate criminal matters in all 77 counties, assist local law enforcement and handle matters of state interest. The previous grand jury issued 10 indictments before concluding in September 2010.
