Prague, OK – Small earthquake reported in central Oklahoma
PRAGUE, Okla. (AP) A small earthquake has been recorded in the same area of central Oklahoma where tremors have been detected recently.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.4-magnitude earthquake was reported around 5:33 a.m. Sunday about 5 miles northwest of Prague in Lincoln County.
The county 911 office says there were no reports of injuries or damage.
A 5.6-magnitude quake centered in Sparks shook the state Nov. 5, damaging dozens of homes, a highway and a tower at St. Gregory's University in Shawnee.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by humans.
