Undated – Oklahoma voters head to polls for special election

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Voters head to the polls Tuesday in special primary and general elections for four seats in the Oklahoma Legislature.

A special primary will be held for Senate District 20, which includes parts of four counties in north-central Oklahoma. The seat was vacated after Republican Sen. David Myers died. A primary will be held for House District 71 of Tulsa, which was vacated when former Republican Rep. Dan Sullivan accepted a new job.

A special general election will be held in Senate District 46 in Oklahoma City, where a seat became available when former Democratic leader Andrew Rice moved to Tennessee. Another general election is set for House District 1 in McCurtain County after the death of freshman lawmaker Rusty Farley.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
