The last Homeland Supermarket will close its doors on Sunday. The store is at 31st and South Harvard, next to the Ranch Acres Shopping Center.
Company officials say the store has not been profitable in years. It is the last Homeland Store in Tulsa. In March, the Sand Springs store became a “Super Savers” market to better compete with a new Reasor’s store in the same shopping center on Highway 97 at Prattville.
Homeland entered the Tulsa market when Safeway exited in the 1980s. It still carried many of the Safeway branded foods.
