The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma

The federal government shutdown is impacting food banks some places across the U-S. So far, that’s not the case in Tulsa, but there is concern about what may happen here if the shutdown continues much longer. Maggie Hoey is with the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. She says there’s worry about the WIC…Women, Infants, and Children’s program. If it runs out of funds, the Food Bank may have to pick up the slack, tightening up supplies.

The food bank already serves 275,000 meals a week in 24 counties in eastern Oklahoma.
