Women in Recovery Hosts Open House for New Facility in Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa County's Women in Recovery program is hosting an open house this week to showcase its new 20,000 square-foot location.
The event is Thursday and officials say the new building is nearly double the size of the previous location and has enough office and work space to serve more than 100 women, 200 children and program graduates.
Women in Recovery is a program that offers an alternative to prison for women who are nonviolent offenders with alcohol and drug addictions in Tulsa County.
The program offers more than a year of treatment and services and provides participants with the help to overcome addictions and return to their families and communities.
