Inspections of the undersides of Tulsa’s three bridges across the Arkansas River are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Aug. 4, 5, and 7. The City of Tulsa has contracted with the engineering firm Leidos to inspect under the bridges using a “snooper truck.”
The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, Aug. 4 – 21st Street bridge, with the westbound outside lane closed
Wednesday, Aug. 5 – 71st Street bridge, with the eastbound outside lane closed
Friday, Aug. 7 – 11th Street bridge, with the westbound outside lane closed
The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather dependent.
Inspections underneath the bridges are conducted every two years (odd numbered years), and the surfaces of the bridges are inspected in the years alternating between the underside inspections (even numbered years).
