A judge says a 911 call made from a Tulsa-area home where five people were stabbed to death is subject to Oklahoma's Open Records Act, but he will keep it from the public.
Reporters have requested the release of the recording, which police have described as gruesome. Attorneys for two brothers accused of killing their parents and three siblings oppose the release.
Attorneys for 18-year-Robert Bever and 16-year-old Michael Bever say the recording could taint potential jurors.
District Judge William Musseman was listenedto the tape Wednesday and decided it could jeopardize a fair trial or harm the brothers' 13-year-old sister, who survived the July 22 attack at their Broken Arrow home.
The brothers face five counts of first-degree murder. A judge entered not guilty pleas for them.
