A new name for the Tulsa Brady Arts District has been narrowed to the top three choices. The names are:
· The Boomtown Arts District
· The Bridge Arts District
· The No Do Arts District
The name is being changed because the area’s namesake, Tate Brady, had ties to the Ku Klux Klan in early day Tulsa. The new name is expected to be in place by Thanksgiving.
Brady Street has already been renamed to honor Civil War photographer Mathew Brady instead of Tate Brady.
