A $3.8 million project to replace the SH-11 bridge over Hominy Creek in Tulsa County is scheduled to begin Monday, November 6. This bridge is located four miles south of the SH-20 junction near Sperry.
The bridge was built in 1940 and is structurally deficient. The existing truss structure met the criteria for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s “Adopt-A-Bridge” program, and will be moved by its new owner in late November, weather permitting.
All lanes of SH-11 are expected to close in mid-November and traffic will detour to SH-20, US-75 and SH-11. Specific closure times will be announced in the Traffic Advisories section of www.odot.org. Drivers can sign up to receive the daily traffic advisories by clicking the “Sign Up For News & Alerts” link on the main page of this website.
The overall project is expected to complete in late spring 2018, weather permitting.
