Calling all artists: Ahha Tulsa is looking for five big ideas for the next installation of THE EXPERIENCE.
"THE EXPERIENCE is the only large-scale, immersive exhibition in Tulsa that invites our visitors to explore through movement, sound, touch and even taste in an instance or two," said Ahha Education and Exhibitions Director Dr. Amber Litwack.
The current installation features work from lead artists David Reed James, Laurie Keeley, Jeremy Lamberton, JP Morrison Lans and Daniel Sutliff. It will be open through December 2019.
Ahha will host free information sessions at 101 E Archer St. March 23 from 11 a.m. to noon and April 3 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visual artists and crafts people of all types are encouraged to apply by May 13.
"We’re looking to meet new artists that we may not have existing relationships with, and we really are inviting people to step outside of their comfort zones and to think big," Litwack said.
If artists have an idea they can’t pull off alone, the five people chosen for THE EXPERIENCE: IMAGINE will receive stipends to hire help with their work. The exhibition will open May 2020.
