Another night of protests in Tulsa ended with police and the National Guard using gas to disperse demonstrators.
A young group of about 50 started protesting at the Tulsa Hills shopping center at 71st Street and U.S. 75. That demonstration was peaceful.
Some of them moved to 71st Street and Memorial Drive and stood in the streets. The Tulsa World reports police ordered them several times to move toward sidewalks, then deployed two rounds of gas when they didn’t.
There were a few reports of damaged businesses in the area again.
Police arrested four men near 71st and Memorial. Two white men, 25-year-old Derek High and 18-year-old Andrew O'Daniel, face charges of inciting a riot.
Police say teenagers and young adults involved in recent protests have been behind escalations and vandalism. Participants in the protests say they are being targeted by outside agitators.
