The Tulsa Health Department is offering free COVID-19 vaccines throughout the run of the Tulsa State Fair.

They will be in the lower level of SageNet Center near the southeast corner offering Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

"So, individuals can come and get their first dose, their second dose, their third dose or booster dose if they qualify," said THD Clinical Services Manager Ellen Niemitalo.

Vaccinations will be available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. No insurance or Social Security number are needed, and kids 12 and older are eligible with a parent or guardian present.

"We know that there's individuals who are just still a little bit on the fence about getting the vaccine or possibly have just been procrastinating and just haven't gotten around to it. So, we really want to make an opportunity for those individuals to get the vaccine — make it convenient, make it easy," Niemitalo said.

The vaccination process should take 30 minutes or less, including paperwork.

With recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults 65 and older, adults 50 to 64 with underlying health problems, and anyone 18 or older with a job that puts them at high risk of exposure to the coronavirus is eligible for a third shot of the Pfizer vaccine six months after they received their second dose.
