THD Calls On Residents To Encourage Each Other To Get Vaccinated Against COVID-19

CVS Health

With eligibility expanding to the final priority group on Monday, the Tulsa Health Department encourages all county residents 16 or older to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

"I know everybody wants the same thing. We want [the] COVID19 pandemic to be a distant memory. The vaccine’s really our best shot to get through to the other side of this pandemic and to look forward to life as we used to know it and create life going forward," said THD Executive Director Dr. Bruce Dart.

According to THD, local vaccine demand remains high, but the agency has launched a new campaign for county residents to encourage each other to get vaccinated.

"Everyone’s story about why they chose to get the vaccine is unique, and I encourage you to share your story to inspire others. Use the hashtag #OurShot918, and together, we can help everyone in Tulsa County feel confident in their decision to receive COVID-19 vaccine," Dart said.

People can also submit short videos for the health department to share.

Dart said Wednesday about one in three county residents 16 or older have received at least one vaccine dose.
