Tulsa, OK – On today's StudioTulsa, we're talking about ongoing international efforts to reduce nuclear weapons. Our guest is Rose Gottemoeller, who was sworn in as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance in April of 2009. Last night, Ms. Gottemoeller gave an address to the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations entitled, "After a New START: What's Next in Arms Control with Russia?" Recently, Ms. Gottemoeller was the chief negotiator of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (or New START) with the Russian Federation. (You can learn more about her academic background and areas of professional expertise by visiting this website: http://www.tulsacfr.org/page33/page37/page37.html.) Also on today's show, our commentator Ian Shoales is questioning much of the American media's coverage of the Occupy Movement.
