Tulsa, OK – Today on ST, we speak with Edwaard Liang, a world-renowned choreographer who has professionally danced with and/or choreographed works for the New York City Ballet, Broadway's "Fosse," Nederlands Dans Theater, Kirov Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Shanghai Ballet, Washington Ballet, Singapore Dance Theatre, and many other productions and companies. Liang has just created his first-ever full-length ballet, "Romeo and Juliet," and it will have its world premiere this coming weekend when Tulsa Ballet performs the work at the Tulsa PAC on the 10th, 11th, and 12th. (For more information, including ticket details, please call 918-749-6006 or visit www.tulsaballet.org.) As we learn on today's show, Liang's new ballet marks quite a milestone --- it's the first and only full-evening commissioned piece in the entire, 50-plus-history of Tulsa Ballet.
