On this installment of ST, we chat with TU Professor of Art Emeritus Glenn Godsey, who's been giving classes in painting, watercolor, drawing, and digital media in the university's School of Art for the past 45 years. A man of quick wit, keen insight, casual manner, and wide-ranging tastes and interests, Godsey has enjoyed a successful career as both a teacher and practitioner of art; his many drawings, watercolors, paintings, digital prints, and photographs reveal his easy humor as well as his intellect, his humanity as well as his agile and associative mind. (Godsey is also, among other things, an accomplished musician, a former architectural illustrator, and a yo-yo expert. Yes, a yo-yo expert.) Now comes a free-to-the-public exhibition of Godsey's work, "Digits and Doodles," which will be on view at TU's Alexandre Hogue Gallery through February 20th. And tonight, Thursday the 23rd, there will be an Opening Reception for this special show, lasting from 5 till 7pm, in the Hogue Gallery.
