The Signature Symphony at TCC has narrowed its search for a new artistic director and conductor to three finalists: Andrés Franco, Michael Rossi, and Timothy Verville. Each of these promising young conductor-candidates will appear with the symphony, in a guest-conductor capacity, on two different concerts this season -- and Rossi and Verville have already performed their first outings with the symphony; now comes Franco's initial turn at the podium. Texas-based Andrés Franco is our guest on ST. He is now beginning his fifth season as Principal Conductor of Caminos del Inka and his third season as Artistic Director of the Concerts in the Garden Summer Festival, and he will lead the Signature Symphony at the TCC VanTrease PACE on Saturday the 25th in a program including "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Rodrigo as well as Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. (You can learn more about the Signature Symphony's schedule of concerts for this season here, and more about the musical background and training of Andrés Franco at this link.)
