The Tulsa nonprofit known as Clarehouse has been providing care for dying people in need for more than 15 years. It offers its services for free, and it partners with groups and organizations from all over the health care vortex in our community. Clarehouse will soon be presenting a virtual Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day, which we learn about on this edition of ST Medical Monday. Per the Clarehouse website: "Only 22% of Oklahomans have an advance directive. Because of this, Clarehouse is leading Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day, a local effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making and encourage the public to take action by documenting their healthcare wishes and engaging in conversations with family and friends. On National Healthcare Decisions Day, April 16, at 10am and 6pm, Clarehouse invites the public to join THDD virtually via Zoom. The program will feature "Your Voice, Your Wishes, Your Advance Directive," a video guide to the Oklahoma Advance Directive for Healthcare, followed by a teaching session and Q&A with local experts. These sessions will be repeated in the coming weeks on April 23 and 30. The event is free and open to the public."
