The boys are back in town!
And by boys, we mean theStateImpact reporters Joe Wertz andLoganLayden. Last fall they came to Tulsa to pitch in and help with the Fall Fund Drive but this spring they are back for YOU and the March Give and Take.
StateImpact Oklahoma is a collaboration of KGOU, KOSU, KWGS and KCCU. Joe and Logan travel the state to report on the intersection of government, industry, natural resources and the Oklahoma workforce. You can read their reports hereand can hear their stories on Public Radio 89.5.
The Give and Take will be Thursday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. atLefty's on Greenwood,10 N. Greenwood Ave., on the main floor. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. There will be good food, good people, good conversation, AND door prize drawings for Public Radio Tulsa swag.
Join us for civil conversation and the lively exchange of ideas. We'll visit with the two reporters about recent news, trends they are seeing in Oklahoma, and then you'll have the opportunity to ask them questions and let them know what investigative stories you would like to see!

Joe Wertz is an energy and environment reporter for StateImpact Oklahoma. He reports regularly on energy and environment issues for state and national NPR audiences, and other national outlets and networks. Joe also serves as president-elect of Freedom of Information Oklahoma, an open records and government transparency nonprofit. Previously, he worked as a managing editor, assistant editor and staff reporter at several major Oklahoma newspapers. He lives in Oklahoma City, and studied journalism at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Logan Layden is an energy and environment reporter for StateImpact Oklahoma and a native of McAlester, Oklahoma. He has a Master's in journalism from the University of Oklahoma and spent three years as a state capitol reporter and local host of All Things Considered for NPR member station KGOU in Norman before joining StateImpact in 2011. Logan reports on natural resources and the environment for StateImpact, particularly issues related to water, mining and the state parks system.
