Performance Oklahoma: Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble

Concert 1

Oklahoma City's resident chamber ensemble, the Brightmusic Society seeks to add dimension and richness to the musical life of residents of the city and central Oklahoma by offering a performance season of chamber music concerts each year. Programming goals include not only offering chamber music pieces known and loved by its audiences but also presenting more unusual and lesser known pieces and newly commissioned repertoire to each performance season. Now marking its 17th season the Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble offers five regular concerts on Tuesday evenings at Oklahoma City’s St. Paul’s Cathedral and presents an annual Chamber Music Festival each June. This week Performance Oklahoma presents the Society's opening concert "Melodic Masters," the program featuring the piano trio of Germaine Tailleferre, the piano quartet by Josef Suk and the first string sextet of Johannes Brahms.

This program airs Saturday, November 16th, 8pm on Classical 88.7, HD-1.
