No one was injured as smoke and flames engulf the El Tequila Mexican eatery near I-44 and Harvard. Smoke and flames were visible when fire fighters got to the scene. Their quick action saved most of the building.

The fire was responsible for a traffic slow down people saw the smoke and flames from the north side of the expressway. No related accidents were reported.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze. The restaurant is located in what used to be Johnny's. Before that it was a Shoneys.
