Recycling Spreads in Tulsa

KWGS News

It is being called a new era in Tulsa trash disposal. A new seven million dollar investment will steam line the recycling process in Tulsa. Tulsa Recycling and Transfer showed off its new system in north Tulsa.

Company CEO Tom Hill says firm has been recycling for 30-years. This new system allows for a wider variety of waste material to be recycled at the plant, such as cardboard, paper, aluminum, plastic--- and now, even glass. Hill says the firm can now recycle more items without fear of contamination.

The site already handles 125-tons of recyclables per day. They expect that number to grow to 200-tons in the near future.
