Members of the Tulsa business community announced the winners for the 6th Annual Tulsey Awards, held at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame Thursday evening.

With entrepreneurs and small businesses making up such a large part of Tulsa’s economy, the Tulsey Awards were created to engage the community each year to recognize the innovators, pioneers and entrepreneurs of our city.

Each Tulsey Award winner received a golden bronze Driller statuette to recognize their entrepreneurial spirit. One nominee had the possibility of receiving two Tulsey Awards by receiving the most votes in the competition for the Tulsey Entrepreneur of the Year.

Over 5,000 votes were made online at the Tulsey website, www.thetulseys.com. This year’s 2013 Tulsey Award Entrepreneur of the Year went to Gina Bradford with Bradford Technology Services.

The Tulsey Awards is the culmination of Tulsa Global Entrepreneurship Week (TGEW). As part of TGEW, events were held across Tulsa to help entrepreneurs generate new ideas and seek better ways of doing business. Countries across six continents came together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week during Nov. 18-22.  

All of the events during Tulsa Global Entrepreneurship Week, including the Tulsey Awards, were coordinated by the City’s Economic Development Commission, Entrepreneurship Committee.
