Mayor Bartlett is making his final tweaks to the new proposed city of Tulsa budget. He is set to present the budget tomorrow night to the Tulsa City Council.
The mayor says the new budget plan will be tight. The city has been suffering from declining sales tax revenue. Bartlett says people are often not paying a user tax for purchases made online, and that is costing the city money.
The mayor says all city departments will take a cut, but it will an across the board cut. He says some department will face a larger cut than others.
The City Council will have about two months to make changes in the mayor's spending plan before it must be put into place. The city's new fiscal year begins July 1st.
