Athletes with Disabilities Competing in Oklahoma

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) — More than 400 athletes with physical disabilities from nearly 40 states and several countries will be in Oklahoma for the country's largest multi-sport, multi-disability event.

The 2014 UOC Endeavor Games features 11 sports, including archery, cycling, powerlifting, swimming and wheelchair basketball.

This is the 15th year for the event held at various locations throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.

The kickoff celebration takes place at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Edmond Mitch Park YMCA.

The events run through Sunday.
