Tulsa County Leaders Discuss Jazz Hall Financial Woes

KWGS News

Tulsa County leaders get a report on the Jazz Hall of Fame lengthy record of late payments. The non-profit’s history of paying downtown assessments and property insurance months late frustrates county officials. Ron Peters is Chairman of the County Industrial Authority, and asked for a report on the Jazz Hall’s financial difficulties.

The Hall’s Executive Director Jason McIntosh points out the non-profit depends on 100 percent private funding…and while there have been late payments, the bills have eventually been paid. The County owns the Union Depot where the Jazz Hall is located, but the Hall has a 100 year contract with the Industrial Authority.
