ENID, Okla. (AP) — Enid authorities have arrested a man suspected of being involved in more than 30 drive-by shootings of windows.
The Enid News & Eagle reports Enid Police Department officers and a SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home of a 29-year-old man around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The man was arrested on complaints of shooting from a moving vehicle and reckless handling of a firearm.
According to authorities, officers responded to 32 reports of drive-by shootings, where windows were shot out at residences and businesses between just before 5 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. Police said that a dog was shot and injured, but was expected to recover.
An investigation of the shootings is ongoing.
