Grass Fire Closes Turner Turnpike

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed Turner Turnpike because of a grass fire.

Drivers will be stopped westbound at Bristow and eastbound at Stroud. A grass fire near mile marker 192 has created so much smoke, OHP said visibility is zero.

There is currrently no timeline to reopen the turnpike.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation warns people not to drive into smoke.
