OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The average price of gasoline in Oklahoma continues to rise.
AAA Oklahoma said yesterday that the statewide average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gas is now $1.64. That's 17½ cents per gallon more than a week ago and a 30 cent per gallon increase during the past 16 days.
AAA Oklahoma spokesman Chuck Mai (MAY) says the rising price is due to maintenance beginning at refineries and some refineries reducing production because of abundant supplies.
Prices in selected cities in the state range from $1.51 per gallon in Idabel to nearly $1.75 in Stillwater.
Drivers in Tulsa are paying nearly $1.61 per gallon while the price in Oklahoma City is $1.66 per gallon.
