Direct flights to New Orleans from Tulsa

Allegiant Air announced Tuesday it will offer nonstop flights beginning May 26
between Tulsa International Airport and Louis Armstrong New Orleans
International Airport.
 
 Tulsa airport Director Jeff Mulder said in a statement that Tulsa has many ties
to the Gulf region. He said nonstop service means what was a 12 to 14 hour road
trip can instead now be a two hour flight.
 
The airline says direct flights will run twice per week.
