Tulsa County Democrats hold a news conference to call for an investigation into the campaign donations made to Republican candidate for sheriff Vic Regalado.
The Democrats say Regalado has accepted donations from people who are not registered voters or even live in Tulsa County. Some, the Democrats say, donated to the campaign of indicted former Sheriff Stanley Glanz.
Regalado interrupted the news conference to call the charges "political posturing". He says the allegations were brought up and vetted during the Republican Primary. Asked why non - registered voters would donate to his campaign; he said they were excited about the prospects of a Hispanic sheriff elected in Oklahoma.
Voters will decide the issue next month. Stanley Glanz was forced from office after he was indicted by a Grand Jury in October.
