Covered wagon wrecks aren’t a big problem outside of Oregon Trail computer games, but the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to one Wednesday morning outside of Prague.

"You really just don't hear a whole lot of those being reported in collisions these days," said OHP Lt. John Vincent.

According to the OHP report, the 83-year-old driver was heading north through a pasture toward an oil lease when he lost control. The wagon went across the oil lease and through a barbed wire fence and brush before stopping in a clearing. The man was taken to OU Medical Center with minor head and neck injuries.

"The wagon was being drawn by two horses. Don't know the condition of the horses or anything. They're not listed," Vincent said. "But, again, this was odd to look up and notice that we did have a covered wagon crash, But, again, this is Oklahoma."
