Crashes Take Lives, Including Well Known Tulsan

A Broken Bow woman has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in southeastern Oklahoma while a popular local musician died in a motorcycle accident in Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Bonnie Rhodes died in a collision Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 70 in McCurtain County.

An OHP report says Rhodes was eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle while trying to pass another vehicle, then collided head-on with an oncoming westbound sport utility vehicle.

A passenger in Rhodes' vehicle and the driver of the SUV were both hospitalized in stable condition.

In Tulsa, police say a motorcyclist died after crashing into the rear of a vehicle that was making a turn on a city street Friday. It happened on the city's north side.

He has been identified as Steve Pryor, a well known Tulsa musician.
